Haryana has completed the selection of 250 schools under the PM-SHRI scheme, positioning the state as a leader in the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. These schools are being developed as green campuses featuring modern learning facilities and digital classrooms.
During a review meeting, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi expressed satisfaction with the progress and praised the state's transparent and accountable fund utilization. He highlighted that PM-SHRI schools should set benchmarks not only in Haryana but nationwide, with Rs 2 crore allocated to each institution for significant infrastructure improvements.
A district-level committee headed by deputy and additional deputy commissioners will oversee the development at these schools. Further, the top-performing schools will receive recognition. This initiative underlines Haryana's commitment to transforming government schools into exemplary educational institutions.
