Beautician and Associate Detained in NEET Paper Leak Scandal

Maharashtra police on Wednesday detained two individuals, including a female beautician, for their alleged involvement in the NEET paper leak case. These individuals have since been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further inquiry, authorities have confirmed.
The woman, identified as Manisha Waghmare, a beautician by trade, was apprehended in Pune and has yet to have her specific role in the alleged leak revealed. Meanwhile, another detainee, Dhananjay Nivrutti Lokhande (26), was taken into custody from Ahilyanagar district. Their detentions follow the earlier apprehension of Shubham Khairnar in Nashik for his alleged connection to the scandal.
The NEET (UG) exam scheduled for May 3 was canceled due to allegations of the paper leak, affecting over 22 lakh aspirants. The government has mandated a thorough inquiry by the CBI to uncover the full extent of the irregularities.
