Karnataka's government has taken a significant step by allowing students to wear hijabs in educational institutions, a move hailed by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind as crucial for religious freedom and educational rights.

Mohammed Saad Belgami, Ameer-e-Halqa in Karnataka, highlighted that this decision will enable Muslim girls to pursue their education without the fear and uncertainty prevalent in recent years.

He asserted that the reversal of the 2022 ban acknowledges India's pluralistic traditions, while urging education authorities to ensure schools remain respectful spaces free of discrimination.
