Tragic End for Aspiring NEET Candidate Amid Exam Cancellation Chaos

A young NEET aspirant from Delhi has died by suicide allegedly due to the stress of the medical entrance exam's cancellation, police reported on Friday. The 20-year-old had been preparing for NEET for years and was found hanging at her residence in Azadpur, northwest Delhi.

The family did not inform authorities about the death when they took the body to the crematorium, citing ignorance of required legal procedures. A police officer confirmed no suicide note was found and a probe is underway to determine the cause of the drastic action.

The suicide comes after the National Testing Agency canceled the NEET held on May 3 amid paper leak allegations, affecting over 23 lakh students. Police were alerted when the body's suspicious state was reported by crematorium staff. A re-examination is now set for June 21.
