Rising Star School organises health check up for students

Health is wealth. This is an age-old saying and a very important one.

It is true that if our health is not in good condition, it will be very difficult to get anything done. So, it is important to take care of one's health so that he could be fitted with a strong body. Rising Star School, a small English Medium school in one of the rural areas of West Bengal, decided to have a Health Awareness Day on 24 April 2019. So, the staff with the help of a phlebotomist and his assistant from Anirban Rural Welfare Society Polyclinic & Diagnostic Centre decided to test the Blood Group of the students as well as calculate their Body Mass Index. The event was very successful and more importantly, it was free of cost. Every student will get a proper Blood Group Report from the Pathology Laboratory. And the administration of the school will check with the local blood bank if the same blood groups are available there for any emergency cases.
