Will Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 mark end to anime series? Possible release in 2022

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is definitely one of the most anticipated Japanese anime series. Following the beautiful success of first and second seasons, the demand for third season is severely high and anime fans in Japan and across the world are ardently waiting for its release.

If some sources are to be believed, Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 could launch in Japan in April next year. Yuzuru Tachikawa, the director earlier said that he was evaluating changes that could be incorporated in the new season to make it unique and different from Season 1 and Season 2.

Mob Psycho 100’s animation studio BONES is yet to release any statement related to the anime’s future. The reason is simple – the studio is currently busy with animating  Season 5 of My Hero Academia and other anime series, NetflixLife reported.

Whenever Mob Psycho 100 returns with Season 3, it is likely to see the returning of the characters like Dimple, Teruki Hanazawa and Reign Arataka. Haruki Amakusa is said to be joining the series. Shou Suzuki and Ritsu Kageyama are likely to return. The number of episodes for third season has not been hinted, still we can predict it a total of 12 or 13 episodes based on the anime’s previous records.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 needs to focus on the final arcs that were left unadapted in the previous season. However, since a great amount of content has already been covered, the third season may be declared as final.

The plot for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will revolve around Shigeo Kageyama, an average middle school boy, nicknamed Mob for lacking a sense of presence. Albeit he looks like an inconspicuous person, he is in fact a powerful esper with immense psychic power. To keep from losing control of this power, he constantly lives a life under an emotional shackle. In order to help learn how to control his abilities, Mob works as an assistant to con-man Reigen Arataka, a self-proclaimed psychic.
