Love, Victor Season 3 filming & other new updates: Everything you need to know

The teen comedy-drama “Love, Victor” was officially renewed for a third season in July 2021. The season 3 will continue the story of Victor Salazar's (Michael Cimino) journey of self-discovery, confronting challenges at home and struggle with his sexual orientation.

The filming for the third run is yet to start. Principal photography for Love, Victor Season 2 has commenced in November 2020. So filming for Season 3 is likely to start in November 2021 but the production could be delayed, as the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing in the United States.

 Love, Victor Season 3 will stream on Hulu and Disney+, but its official release date is yet to be announced. Since the first two seasons were launched in mid-June of 2020 and 2021, respectively, we can assume that Love, Victor Season 3 will be released in June 2022. But if we take the current pandemic into consideration, it looks like Love, Victor Season 3 will be delayed further due to production halts and slow post productions work.

The show is inspired by the 2018 film "Love, Simon" written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the same duo that created the television series, Love, Victor.

Love, Victor Season 2 deals with the aftermath of his coming out and follows Victor as he navigates through this new world with his friends, while also dealing with his relationship with Benji, which is tested multiple times, due in part to Victor's family and a new possible love interest.

The series ends with a major cliffhanger. Victor did choose between his two boyfriends. In fact, he ran to the guy with whom he wants to be in a relationship. However, the audience was left in the dark about whose house Victor actually visited. Evidently, Love, Victor Season 3 is going to resolve the unfinished ending. No wonder fans are speculating who could be Victor's choice. Will he stay with his boyfriend Benji (George Sear) or will he start a new relationship with Rahim (Anthony Keyvan)?

The story is inspired from and set in the same world as the 2018 film Love, Simon. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are the creators and serve as the showrunners.

Hulu is yet to reveal the cast list, however, it is likely almost all the major players could return to reprise their role in Love, Victor Season 3 that includes Victor himself (plays by Michael Cimino). Victor's father Armando Salazar (James Martinez), mother Isabel Salazar (Ana Ortiz), little brother Adrian Salazar (Mateo Fernandez), and Victor's anxious younger sister Pilar Salazar (Isabella Ferreira).

The other actors who would likely return are Rachel Hilson as Mia Brooks, Anthony Turpel as Felix Westen and Bebe Wood as Lake Meriwether.
