Telugu Actor Raj Tharun Accused of Cheating in the Name of Marriage

A case was registered against Telugu actor Raj Tharun following a complaint by a woman who accused him of cheating her in the name of marriage, police said on Wednesday.

The woman alleged to Narsingi police last week that she and Raj Tharun had been in a relationship for 10 years, but he 'cheated' her in the name of marriage. She further claimed that the actor is now involved with another woman, who, along with her family members, has been threatening her to stay away from him.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered on Tuesday on charges including cheating and criminal intimidation, police stated, adding that they will proceed further based on evidence. Raj Tharun is known for his roles in films such as 'Uyyala Jampala', 'Kumari 21 F' and 'Cinema Chupista Mava'. Further investigation is ongoing.
