Grisly Discovery: Man Charged with Murder After Human Remains Found in Suitcases

British police have charged Yostin Andres Mosquera, 34, with two counts of murder following the gruesome discovery of human remains in suitcases at Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge. The victims were identified as Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71.

Alfonso and Longworth, who were in a relationship and cohabited in a west London flat, had also hosted Mosquera for a short period. The partial remains of the victims were found in the same flat.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine acknowledged the distress caused by the incident, not only to Shepherd's Bush residents but also the broader LGBTQ+ community in London. He reassured the public that no other suspects are currently being sought.

Although no homophobic motive has been found, the investigation has been initially categorized as a hate crime, pending further evidence. Bristol police reported suspicious activity involving a suitcase on the Clifton bridge late Wednesday night, and a second suitcase was subsequently located nearby.

Mosquera, who had traveled from London with the suitcases, was apprehended in Bristol on Saturday and is scheduled to appear in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday.
