Sacred Journey: Chhari Mubarak Visits Sharika Bhawani Temple

The Chhari Mubarak, Swami Amarnath Ji's holy mace, visited the Sharika Bhawani temple at Hari Parvat Fort for prayers on 'Shravan Shukla Paksha Pratipada'. Devotees attended the two-hour ceremony. Traditional rituals will continue as the mace heads towards Amarnath cave shrine for the annual pilgrimage on August 14.

Chhari Mubarak, the holy mace associated with Swami Amarnath Ji, was taken to the historic Sharika Bhawani temple atop the Hari Parvat Fort for a special prayer session on Monday, coinciding with 'Shravan Shukla Paksha Pratipada'.

A considerable number of sadhus and devotees participated in the two-hour-long prayers, according to a statement by Dashnami Akhara, the mace's permanent abode.

In conjunction with the annual Swami Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024, the Chhari Mubarak, led by Mahant Deependra Giri Ji, visited the ancient Sharika Bhawani Temple in Srinagar to pay homage. The goddess Sharika Bhawani, known as Tripursundari and Chakareshwari Devi, is regarded as the presiding deity of Srinagar, manifesting in the form of a holy rock at Hari Parvat.

The Chhari Sthapana ceremony is set for Wednesday at the Shri Amareshwar Temple, with traditional Chhari Pujan taking place on Friday. The Chhari Mubarak will depart on August 14 for the Amarnath cave shrine, where rituals will be performed on 'Shravan Purnima' on August 19.
