Madhya Pradesh Gears Up for Grand Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced special programmes for Krishna Janmashtami, akin to festivities in Mathura and Dwarka. The state also highlights initiatives like Tiranga Abhiyan and financial aid for women during Raksha Bandhan. Additionally, a police band will be available in all 55 districts for Independence Day.

Madhya Pradesh is set to host grand celebrations for the upcoming Krishna Janmashtami festival, drawing inspiration from Mathura and Dwarka, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

This year’s Janmashtami will be observed on August 26, and the state’s culture ministry is planning a series of events to honor the occasion. In his remarks, Yadav highlighted the historical significance of Madhya Pradesh in Lord Krishna's life, noting that the deity received his schooling in the state.

Chief Minister Yadav also lauded the Tiranga Abhiyan, which encourages households to hoist the national flag, and announced enhanced financial support for women during Raksha Bandhan. In a first, a police band will be available in all 55 districts for Independence Day celebrations.
