Rahul Gandhi Meets Farmer Delegation for MSP Guarantee Talks

On Tuesday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, met a delegation from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha to discuss pressing issues like legal guarantees for Minimum Support Price (MSP) and relief from farm debts. Congress members K C Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh also attended the meeting.

On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, convened with a delegation from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha to deliberate on several core issues, primarily focusing on the need for a legally guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP) and relief from farmers' indebtedness, sources revealed.

The 11-member delegation met Gandhi at his office in the Parliament House complex, where they highlighted the various predicaments faced by farmers across the country, reiterating their demand for a legal assurance on MSP.

Congress General Secretaries K C Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh were also present at the meeting, which followed another recent farmer delegation meeting with Gandhi in Parliament. Gandhi emphasized that the INDIA bloc remains resolute in securing a legal guarantee for MSP, asserting that the bloc will exert pressure on the government to fulfill this commitment.
