The 13th edition of the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon wrapped up on July 21, 2024, with more than 5,500 participants taking part. Sponsored by Hexaware for the fifth year in a row, the marathon aimed to inspire fitness and community welfare.

In preparation for the half marathon, free, structured training programs were made available four months in advance, along with expert health advice. Demonstrating its commitment to environmental responsibility, Hexaware organized plogging teams to clean the marathon route.

The event drew 1,500 runners for the 21.1 km race and 4,000 for the 10 km race. Notable participants included 1,100 women, 11 super seniors above 70 years of age, individuals with visual impairments, and amputees. Members of the Indian Army, Navy, Coastal Guards, Tamil Nadu Police, and other organizations also participated.

Flagging off the 21-km race was Ma. Subramanian, the Tamil Nadu Health Minister, accompanied by Hexaware executives. The 10-km race was launched by Hexaware's VP of Digital Assurance, Nagendra Kumar Kunkatla.

The Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon 2024 earned AIMS certification for its 10-km run. ''We are pleased to support this marathon, which promotes fitness and community welfare,'' said Nita Nambiar, Chief People Officer at Hexaware.

Hexaware's Chief Marketing Officer, Nidhi Alexander, highlighted the company's commitment to health and wellbeing, stating, ''This event encourages a healthier lifestyle and supports various community causes.'' The marathon raised over INR 36 lakh for welfare initiatives supporting amputees, domestic abuse victims, and individuals with intellectual disabilities.
