Officials have restricted the Mangala Aarti at Vrindavan's Thakur Banke Bihari Temple to 1,000 devotees on Janmashtami night to avoid overcrowding and potential accidents.
Agra Divisional Commissioner Ritu Maheshwari stated that the measure, in place for the second consecutive year, aims to prevent tragedies like the suffocation deaths of two women last year.
Extensive preparations involve cultural performances across Mathura and robust security around Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Cleaning teams will work to maintain cleanliness and manage community feasts responsibly.
