Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 78th Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort with his signature style, donning a multicoloured Rajasthani leheriya print turban paired with a white kurta and churidar.
For his 11th Independence Day address, Modi sported a light blue bandhgala jacket. Sticking to his tradition since 2014, this year's turban featured a mix of orange, yellow, and green colors with an elaborate tail.
Modi's notable headgear has been an ongoing feature in his attire for Independence and Republic Day events. Last year, he opted for a Rajasthani bandhani print turban. As Modi prepares to unfurl the national flag for the 11th consecutive year, he remains behind only Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi in historical precedence.
