Sheeba Chaddha, the acclaimed actor known for her roles in 'Mirzapur' and various critically acclaimed films, has been confirmed as part of the cast for Riz Ahmed's new comedy series on Prime Video.

The untitled half-hour series has been created by Ahmed and developed under his production company, Left Handed, through a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios.

According to Variety, Chaddha joins the show's ensemble along with Aasiya Shah, Sajid Hasan, and Guz Khan. Her specific role remains undisclosed.

Ahmed, who will act as both writer and co-showrunner with Ben Karlin, will star as Shah Latif, a struggling actor facing an existential crisis and a conspiracy thriller scenario simultaneously.

This marks Ahmed's return to television following his Emmy-winning role in 'The Night Of' as well as his appearance in 'Girls'.

The series is a joint venture between Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive producers Ahmed, Allie Moore for Left Handed, Jake Fuller for Jax Media, Karlin, and Roopesh Parekh.
