Tamil Nadu's Unexpected Diplomatic Gesture at Governor's Reception

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and his Cabinet colleagues attended the 'At Home Reception' hosted by Governor R N Ravi, despite earlier announcements by DMK and its allies to boycott the event. The participation was a show of respect for the Governor's office. Opposition parties also attended.

In a move that surprised many, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, accompanied by his Cabinet colleagues, attended the 'At Home Reception' hosted by Governor R N Ravi at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday.

This attendance was noteworthy as the DMK had previously stated there would be no representation from their side, with their allies, including Congress, also indicating a boycott due to the Governor allegedly acting against the state's interests.

Finance Minister Thangam Thenarasu clarified to reporters, noting that despite political differences, the office of the Governor is an institution deserving respect. This respectful stance paved the way for their participation. The event also saw the presence of AIADMK leaders and other political representatives.
