Ace director Kaushik Ganguly has dedicated his Best Bengali Film National Award for 'Kaberi Antardhan' to the gifted technicians of the regional film industry.

'Kaberi Antardhan', a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of the 1970s Naxal movement, won the award. However, Ganguly stated he's not in a celebratory mood due to the recent alleged rape and murder of a young woman doctor inside a state-run hospital, which has sparked widespread outrage.

Ganguly expressed happiness that another Bengali film 'Aparajito', directed by Anik Dutta, has won two national awards for best make-up and best production design. He acknowledged the technical excellence of the film industry in Bengal, praising technicians for their outstanding contributions despite limited resources. Previously, Ganguly won National Awards for films such as 'Laptop', 'Nagar Kirtan', 'Shobdo', and 'Bishorjon'.
