Congress leader Sachin Pilot criticized the government's inability to conduct elections efficiently across four states simultaneously. He highlighted the delays in by-elections, including the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, and questioned the Election Commission's inaction.
Pilot expressed confidence that the Congress will form its government in Haryana and perform well in Jammu and Kashmir, where elections are being held after a decade. The Election Commission announced that Haryana's 90-member Assembly polls will be held on October 1, with results on October 4. Jammu and Kashmir's assembly elections will occur in three phases: September 18, 25, and October 1, with results also on October 4.
Addressing violence in Udaipur, Pilot called for peace and mutual understanding. He also urged the Central government to protect minorities in Bangladesh and criticized the disaster relief response to heavy rains in Rajasthan, emphasizing the need for immediate compensation and action to support affected farmers and residents.
