Stree 2: Box Office Juggernaut Breaks Records with Rs 283 Crore Opening

Horror comedy 'Stree 2', starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has made a massive impact at the box office, grossing Rs 283 crore worldwide in its first weekend. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, also features Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana.

Horror comedy 'Stree 2', starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has taken the global box office by storm, grossing Rs 283 crore in its opening weekend. The sequel to the 2018 hit 'Stree' collected Rs 240 crore in India and Rs 43 crore internationally, according to Maddock Films.

In a post on their official X page, the production house revealed that the film netted Rs 204 crore domestically. The makers expressed their gratitude, stating, 'The Box Office Juggernaut that's BREAKING and SHATTERING records! Thank you audience, for making it happen.'

Directed by Amar Kaushik, 'Stree 2' was released on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day celebrations. The film, which also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, follows the story of Vicky and his friends as they confront a new ghostly threat. Part of Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe, 'Stree 2' joins other titles such as 'Bhediya' and 'Munjya'.
