Oscar-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón premiered his seven-part AppleTV+ series 'Disclaimer' at the Venice Film Festival. The psychological thriller, based on Renée Knight's book of the same name, stars Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. It tells the story of a documentarian who discovers she is a character in a novel that exposes her deepest secrets.

Cuarón, along with Blanchett and Kline, attended the Italian festival for the premiere. 'I read the book and immediately in my mind I saw a film, but I didn't know how to make that film,' Cuarón noted during a news conference. The series took about a year to complete, featuring distinct visual elements created by cinematographers Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel.

Approaching it as a film made the production process lengthy and challenging for the actors. The final three episodes of the series will screen on Friday at the festival. While Venice is traditionally known for its feature films, it also showcases select series like 'Disclaimer.'
