Murmu noted that women make up half of India's population and stressed their active participation in various sectors to drive the country forward. She emphasized the urgency of altering perceptions to ensure women can fully contribute to national development.
Referencing recent incidents of violence against women, Murmu underscored the critical need for societal change. She praised historical figures like Veermata Jijabai and Savitribai Phule for their pioneering contributions to women's education and acknowledged the historical significance of legislative developments in Maharashtra.
