Oscar-Winning Director Giuseppe Tornatore to Present 'Cinema Paradiso' Restoration at Mumbai Festival

Giuseppe Tornatore will visit India for the first time to present a 4K restoration of 'Cinema Paradiso' at 'Cinema Italian Style - Celebrating Tornatore and the Masters Of Italian Cinema'. The film festival will be held from September 27-29, 2024, featuring screenings and an interactive masterclass.

Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore is set to visit India soon. According to Variety, Tornatore will present a 4K restoration of his Oscar and Cannes-winning film "Cinema Paradiso" at Mumbai's inaugural Italian film festival.

The screening will be the highlight of the "Cinema Italian Style - Celebrating Tornatore and the Masters Of Italian Cinema" festival. Slated for September 27-29, 2024, it will take place at Regal Cinema, Mumbai.

Organized by the Film Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Mumbai, the event aims to honor Italian cinema legends and showcase restored classics. Tornatore, 68, will present the FHF Lifetime Achievement Award for Cinema Projection, lead an interactive masterclass, and take part in an exclusive fireside chat.
