Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted India's role as a 'trusted partner' in Jamaica's development, offering expertise in digital public infrastructure, biofuel, innovation, and health. This announcement came after extensive talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Tuesday.

The leaders addressed regional and global issues, emphasizing the need for resolving disputes through dialogue. They also stressed the importance of reforming global institutions, including the UN Security Council. Modi reaffirmed India's long-standing commitment to Jamaica's growth and readiness to share expertise in various domains, including education and agriculture.

Modi also highlighted defence cooperation, focusing on training and capacity building for Jamaica's armed forces. Both leaders identified organised crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism as mutual challenges.
