Telugu Star Nagarjuna Sues Minister Over Divorce Comments

Telugu superstar Nagarjuna has filed a defamation case against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha over her comments blaming BRS leader K T Rama Rao for the divorce of actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. Nagarjuna alleges that the remarks damaged his family's reputation for political gain.

Renowned Telugu actor Nagarjuna has initiated legal actions against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha following her comments on his son Naga Chaitanya's divorce. Surekha implicated opposition leader K T Rama Rao as responsible for the split.

Nagarjuna claims these accusations tarnished his family's image, filing a defamation suit under section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in the Nampally court.

Several prominent film industry figures have criticized Surekha's remarks, which she later retracted. Both Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya dismissed the political contention, emphasizing their divorce was consensual.
