Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha is under medical care at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) following complications related to her health, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

Sinha, 72, who has received the Padma Bhushan award, is celebrated for her contributions to Indian folk music, particularly in Bhojpuri and Maithili. She has been battling multiple myeloma since 2017 and is currently on oxygen support due to the disease.
