Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has sent a letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, imploring him to boost funding aimed at curbing animal attacks in the high-range regions of Wayanad and Malappuram.

In her letter dated February 20, Priyanka, also the MP for Wayanad, proposed forming a specialized team in collaboration with the Union Environment Ministry. This team would swiftly implement urgent measures to safeguard human lives and homes in high-risk areas of animal attacks.

Priyanka noted increasing fear among locals due to ineffective mitigation measures and highlighted the need for funding to erect sturdy barriers and deploy monitoring technology. She stressed the importance of both state and central government cooperation in addressing this pressing issue.
