Diplomats Embark on Thrilling Kaziranga Safaris

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and 61 foreign envoys experienced the wild beauty of Kaziranga National Park through thrilling elephant and jeep safaris. The trip, aimed at boosting tourism and investment in Assam, highlighted the park's rich wildlife, drawing positive remarks from the visitors.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, accompanied by heads of missions from 61 countries, embarked on exciting elephant and jeep safaris through Kaziranga National Park on Monday morning, according to officials. Renowned for its one-horned rhinoceros, the envoys explored the park's wonders after arriving in Jorhat on Sunday night.

Jaishankar, atop the famed elephant Pradyumna, guided the ambassadors through the park's central range at Kohora. Spouses of several ambassadors also participated, while envoys from nations involved in the Advantage Assam 2.0 Infrastructure and Investment Summit headed directly to Guwahati.

After immersing themselves in the UNESCO World Heritage site's stunning wildlife, Jaishankar expressed his delight at the growing tourist influx, pushing for more international visibility for Assam's rich biodiversity. Following the safaris, the diplomats anticipated attending the Advantage Assam 2.0 within the state's cultural and investment landscape.
