Mahashivratri Celebrations Light Up Rajasthan

Devotees in Rajasthan celebrated Mahashivratri with vibrant worship at Lord Shiva temples. Political figures extended greetings, advocating for prosperity and well-being across the state.

In a display of spiritual fervor, chants of 'Om Namath Shivay' and 'Har Har Mahadev' filled the air at Lord Shiva temples in Rajasthan, as devotees marked the festival of Mahashivratri on Wednesday. Long queues snaked through temple grounds in major districts, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer, as worshippers gathered to perform rituals and offer prayers.

Temples were resplendently decorated with lights and the idols of Lord Shiva embellished with intricate decorations. Governor Haribhau Bagde and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, among other political figures, extended festive greetings to the citizens, emphasizing the festival's cultural significance and praying for communal prosperity.

Bagde hailed Mahashivratri as a unique festival of Indian culture and expressed hopes for everyone's well-being. Chief Minister Sharma, through a message on social media, wished for happiness and prosperity for all. He also participated in rituals at the Rajrajeshwar temple located at his residence, further marking the day's spiritual importance.
