Acclaimed filmmaker Shonali Bose recently disclosed that discussions with Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji regarding a new film collaboration did not come to fruition due to conflicting schedules.

Rani Mukerji was initially poised to star in a family drama under Bose's direction, backed by the stalwart production house Junglee Pictures, known for hits like "Raazi" and "Badhaai Ho".

Bose remains hopeful about future collaboration opportunities with the actress, saying, "I'm sure we'll do something later." Meanwhile, Mukerji will reprise her role as cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the upcoming "Mardaani 3", slated for a 2026 release.
