In a recent interview, Bollywood icon Salman Khan disclosed intriguing details about the making of his eagerly awaited film 'Sikandar'. The narrative, as revealed by Khan, initially stemmed from the creative mind of A.R. Murugadoss. Salman reminisced about how producer Sajid Nadiadwala introduced him to the script after Murugadoss's initial narration.
'Originally, it was Murugadoss's script that he narrated to Sajid Nadiadwala,' Salman recounted. 'The very next day Sajid called me saying, 'Listen to it, you might like it.' After hearing it, I simply thought, 'What's not to like? When are you starting?' This is how the film materialized,' he added.
The actor spoke with fondness about his father, screenwriting veteran Salim Khan, who surprised the family by deciding to accompany Salman to the film's trailer launch. 'His earned love and respect remain untouched. He announced he'd join me at the event, shocking us all,' Salman narrated. 'At the venue, he climbed more than 8-10 steps to witness the press's reaction from the back.'
Addressing the trend of controversies hitting films around release time, Salman was clear about his stance. 'We don't want any controversies around Sikandar. We've endured enough. Controversies don't guarantee a film's success, and they often delay releases,' he stated, reiterating his wish for a smooth film release without disruptions.
'Sikandar', directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who gained fame with hits like 'Ghajini' and 'Thuppakki', sees Khan collaborating once more with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. This project marks their first reunion since their 2014 hit, 'Kick'. The much-anticipated film is slated to hit theaters on March 30, 2025. (ANI)
