Rise of Women in Veterinary Science: A Promising Future

President Droupadi Murmu expressed her pride at the increasing number of women entering the field of veterinary science, describing it as a "very auspicious sign" during the 11th convocation of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI).

She highlighted the traditional role of women in caring for cattle, suggesting this background contributes to the growing female presence in veterinary medicine. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the IVRI's vital contributions during the Covid pandemic, particularly its role in testing and vaccine research.

Adityanath emphasized the institute's achievements, including the development of a vaccine for lumpy skin disease, further strengthening Uttar Pradesh's commitment to advancing veterinary research.
