President Droupadi Murmu paid a visit to the ancient Dakshineswar Temple on Wednesday evening, a revered site near Kolkata, where she offered prayers to Goddess Kali.
The President, who had participated in the first convocation of AIIMS-Kalyani earlier in the day, arrived at the temple around 6 p.m. and conducted puja in the presence of temple priests and committee members.
Tight security measures were enforced throughout her visit, with traffic restrictions in place to ensure a smooth presidential journey.
