The Odisha government announced plans to reconstitute the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee (SJTMC), addressing the long-delayed inventory of Lord Jagannath's treasures, attended by Reserve Bank of India representatives.
Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan indicated that the reconstitution of the SJTMC would enable the inventory of valuables, including gold and diamonds, in the Ratna Bhandar.
With the previous full inventory conducted 46 years ago, this move is crucial for transparent temple management. The committee, vital to the temple's operations, consists of 18 members led by Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb.
