A 13-year-old boy from Gorakhpur, influenced by the spiritual teachings of Vrindavan-based guru Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, fled his home to pursue a life of spirituality in Varanasi. Identified as Aman Dubey, he left for school on August 1 but did not return by evening, prompting his worried family to file a missing report.
Gorakhpur police began a meticulous search, scanning CCTV footage and sharing Aman's photo with local authorities. The search effort paid off when Aman was located near a ghat in Varanasi, where he expressed his desire to lead a life akin to his spiritual idol. The precautionary measures helped ensure his safety.
Aman was subsequently handed over to the child welfare organization Childline. His parents, accompanied by local police, are on their way to bring him back. According to Aman's father, Amarnath Dubey, Aman's interest in spirituality was fueled by regularly engaging with the teachings of Sant Premanand on social media.
