Renowned actor and Rajya Sabha member Kamal Haasan recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he advocated for the recognition of Tamil heritage. Haasan shared a series of photos from the meeting, which he posted on his social media, detailing his appeals to the Prime Minister.
The actor presented a memento themed around Keeladi village and emphasized the need to expedite the recognition of its historical significance. Located near Madurai, Keeladi holds cultural importance and Haasan believes showcasing Tamil civilization and language to the world is crucial.
Besides highlighting these requests, Haasan's film ''Thug Life'', directed by Mani Ratnam, continues to receive attention. Released in June, it features notable actors Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, and Aishwarya Lekshmi in significant roles.
