Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the redevelopment of Janki Mandir in Sitamarhi, Bihar, marking a crucial cultural initiative. This project, valued at over Rs 882.87 crore, is aimed at revamping the temple complex and enhancing tourism facilities in the area.

The ceremony saw the presence of notable figures including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Of the total budget, Rs 137 crore is earmarked for the temple and its surroundings, while Rs 728 crore will boost tourism activities.

A Noida-based firm will provide design consultancy, mirroring their work on the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas project. The state's decision to form a nine-member trust signifies a sustained commitment to this redevelopment.
