Actor Aubrey Plaza has opened up about her profound grief following the death of her husband, Jeff Baena, who passed away by suicide at the age of 47 in January. During an appearance on the podcast 'Good Hang with Amy Poehler,' Plaza shared her struggles in coping with the loss.

Plaza likened her emotional journey to a scene from the horror movie 'The Gorge' and described her grief as a 'giant ocean of awfulness,' with monsters perpetually lurking. She shared, 'Sometimes I just want to dive into it, and sometimes I try to get away from it. But it's always there.'

Known for their collaborations, Baena, a writer-director, and Plaza worked on several projects together. Despite her grief, Plaza is currently promoting her latest film 'Honey Don't!', directed by Ethan Coen, which stars Margaret Qualley.
