Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized the need to revive Sanskrit as a unifying global language while underscoring the role of Sanatan Dharma in promoting peace and welfare. Speaking at the Annapurna Rishikul Brahmacharyashram, he distributed sewing machines, laptops, and certificates to about 250 students.
Highlighting Sanskrit's historical significance, Adityanath pointed to its role in ancient educational institutions like Takshashila and praised the contributions of scholars like Panini and Maharishi Valmiki. The state government is actively promoting Sanskrit through scholarships and support for researchers.
In addition to cultural preservation, Adityanath noted broader welfare initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including support for women and infrastructure development. He praised the Annapurna Ashram for its long-standing educational and social efforts, aligning with the state's Mission Shakti program.
