Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has highlighted the urgent need for renewed dedication to humanitarian service and voluntary efforts.
Speaking at the Indian Red Cross Society's 38th Annual General Meeting in Nagaland, the Chief Minister stressed that humanity's strength lies in addressing global challenges such as disasters, conflicts, and pandemics. Rio called on the society's members to engage more young people to strengthen branches and broaden humanitarian outreach.
He praised the society for its invaluable contributions as a beacon of hope, acknowledging the efforts of its managing committee, staff, and volunteers in promoting health, conducting blood donation drives, enhancing disaster preparedness, and aiding vulnerable communities. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting ceremony attended by the assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer.
