His family ultimately decided to continue his treatment at home earlier this month. While official confirmation from the family is pending, preparations for his funeral at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Ville Parle, Mumbai, are ongoing.

Despite erroneous reports of his death earlier this month, Dharmendra was celebrated by Bollywood celebrities such as Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor, who acknowledged the end of an era with his passing.
