The 20th edition of the Delhi Half Marathon (DHM) raised an impressive Rs 4.12 crore to support 16 social causes. The funds were gathered through the efforts of NGOs, fundraisers, corporates, and participating runners.
A statement from the DHM organisers credited Philanthropy Partner Lakshyaa for their critical role in raising the significant amount of money earmarked for various social initiatives. Over the event's two-decade history, more than Rs 88 crore has been raised for charitable purposes.
The marathon also saw standout performances from Kenyan athletes Alex Matata and Lilian Kasait Rengeruk, who emerged victorious in the men's and women's elite races held on October 12 in New Delhi, further enhancing the international prestige of the race.
