The 2025 Khadi Mahotsav, held at Central Sanskrit University in Lucknow, recorded a sales turnover of Rs 3.20 crore, representing a commendable 42% jump from the previous year, according to an official statement by the UP government.
Attracting a total of 160 entrepreneurs, the festival showcased diverse products including khadi clothing, herbal creations, jute handicrafts, and clay artistry. Notably engaging a youthful audience, reports from artisans highlighted increased attendance and consumer enthusiasm.
Shishir, CEO of the Khadi Board, emphasized khadi's transformation into a cultural and modern emblem at the closing ceremony, indicating its broader appeal across customer segments.
