Mega Gita Recital Set to Unite Five Lakh Voices

A grand Bhagavad Gita recital, dubbed 'Panch Lakkho Konthe Gita Path', will take place at Kolkata's Brigade Parade Ground, gathering five lakh participants. Organized by Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad, the event aims to promote spiritual unity in West Bengal, coinciding with political tensions involving faith and identity.

On Sunday, Kolkata's Brigade Parade Ground will host a monumental Bhagavad Gita recital, anticipated to attract five lakh participants, marking it as potentially the largest of its kind in the country. Titled 'Panch Lakkho Konthe Gita Path', the event is orchestrated by Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad, an organization of various monks and spiritual leaders.

While Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor C V Ananda Bose are unlikely to attend, senior BJP figures including Dilip Ghosh, Samik Bhattacharya, and Suvendu Adhikari are set to make an appearance. The event aims to underline spiritual heritage and foster social harmony amid political tensions related to religion.

Security measures, along with facilities for crowd management and emergency medical services, have been prepared for the extensive turnout. The gathering follows a politically charged mosque foundation-laying in Murshidabad, emphasizing the intersection of faith and politics in West Bengal's pre-election landscape.
