An Airbnb report reveals that 55 percent of Indian travelers have winter trips on their itinerary, with Goa and Kerala emerging as their top destinations. The trend, based on Focaldata's October 2025 survey of 2,155 Indians, highlights travel not just for leisure but also for relaxation and cultural experiences.

Amanpreet Bajaj, Airbnb's Country Head for India and Southeast Asia, highlighted the appeal of cooler climates and scenic landscapes in winter, making it a favored season. There is a rising interest in less-frequented places like Agatti in Lakshadweep and quiet towns in Punjab and Kerala.

The report underscores the influence of GenZ and Millennial travelers, who often choose to vacation with partners or friends. Many venture out for spontaneous experiences that combine scenic beauty with cultural depth, exploring iconic destinations like Goa, Kerala, and the Himalayan states.
