The special cover, aptly named 'Gangasagar Mela: A Confluence of Tradition, Devotion, Emotion, and Spiritual Belief', was unveiled by Jitendra Gupta, Director General of Postal Services, at the Kolkata GPO. It beautifully encapsulates the soul of the Mela by featuring the 'Maha Snan' ritual and the iconic Kapil Muni Temple, situated at the confluence of the Hooghly river and the Bay of Bengal.
This philatelic homage is now available for sale at the Philatelic Bureau of the Kolkata GPO, offering collectors and enthusiasts a piece that embodies the essence of tradition and spirituality celebrated at the Gangasagar Mela.
