Actor Mahima Chaudhry has made a strong call for the incoming administration after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections in 2026 to prioritize essential civic issues such as steady water supply, improved air quality, and better road infrastructure.

After casting her vote on Thursday, she emphasized the need for a party that delivers good governance, adding her concerns about the challenges faced during emergencies, notably when ambulances get stuck in traffic.

The elections saw participation from celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Kareena Khan. Voting commenced across 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra, with a voter turnout of 29.22% by 1:30 pm. The results are expected to be announced on January 16.
