Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid homage to Pandit Jasraj by unveiling a statue at the late vocalist's native village, Pili Mandori, for his 96th birth anniversary. The celebration, part of the 'Sant-Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prasar Yojana', highlighted Jasraj's status as a 'Swar-Surya' in Indian classical music.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent greetings via Saini, who described Pandit Jasraj's global musical influence. Jasraj's daughter, Durga Jasraj, emphasized continuing his legacy through the Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation. A musical performance by Anup Jalota marked the occasion, underscoring the universality of Indian classical music.

Besides commemorating Jasraj, the event included announcements of new projects like an industrial training institute, infrastructural developments, and cultural centers in his name. The Haryana government also highlighted ongoing projects supporting education and community benefits in the area.
