Tamanna Malik, a Muslim woman from Badanpur Basai village in Sambhal, completed a poignant 170-km pilgrimage to Haridwar. This journey, known as the kanwar yatra, was in fulfillment of a vow she made over three years ago.
Welcomed back with chants of 'Har Har Mahadev,' Malik offered Ganga water at the Kshem Nath Temple on Mahashivratri, symbolizing a personal and communal blending of faiths. Married to Aman Tyagi, a Hindu, Malik faced and overcame interfaith challenges to complete her vow.
Supported by her husband and communities like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, Malik's journey was marked by unity. ''Those who protested are ignorant,'' she stated, emphasizing the positive reception and mutual respect shown by others.
