Mirzapur Season 2 gets greenlit from Amazon Video with 20 new shows

Including Mirzapur Season 2, Amazon Video gives official nod to The Bachelorette, Diablo Guardian, LOL: Last One Laughing, The Grand Tour etc.

Mirzapur Season 2 finally gets official nod from Amazon Video! Fans must be extremely excited to know that the upcoming season of the Indian crime thriller web television series will start its production soon in 2019.

Apart from Mirzapur Season 2, a Tamil version of stand-up comedy competition Only Much Louder-created series Comicstaan is also in the list of greenlit. Amazon Video has given official nod to over 20 new and returning Prime Original Series to go into the production in the various locations in United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain, Japan, Germany, Italy including India.

We know that customers watching Prime Video everywhere want to see authentic stories, set in their own countries, and to invest in characters that can reflect their own experiences and diversity. We’re excited and committed to amplifying the voices of storytellers from all over the world and to bring their visions to life for our viewers worldwide,” Head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke said in the official statement.

Including Mirzapur Season 2 and Comicstaan (Tamil), here are some of those series that have greenlit from Amazon Video - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo (Germany), Bandish Bandits (India), The Last Hour (India), The Power (UK), La Templanza (Spain), El Cid (Spain), El Presidente (Mexico), El Juego de las Llaves (Mexico), Como Sobrevivir Soltero (Mexico), The Bachelorette (Japan), Hitoshi Matsumoto Presents Documental Season 7 (Japan), LOL: Last One Laughing Season 2 (Mexico), The Grand Tour Season 4 (United Kingdom), Diablo Guardian Season 2 to name a few.
